Parāoa and Toroa

NZ$750.00

This piece is a contemporary interpretation of a Parāoa/Sperm Whale tooth with a small inset Toroa/Gray Headed Mollymawk feather made from pounamu. This pairing speaks of their preference for a similar food source, squid. While one feeds on the giant squid and the other its smaller cousin sightings have been reported of Toroa feeding on the scaps from Parāoa feeding on giant squid.

NOTE: Because this piece is glued together it is advised to be kept out of hot water
